Theory Intervals, chords, note values, rests, scales, octaves, the circle of fifths, and a variety of notation symbols (such as dynamics, articulation, and so on)
Tools The Chord Builder lets you make chords and listen to examples. The Scale Builder lets you make scales and listen to examples. The Mode Builder lets you make modes and listen to examples. The Paid Practice Helper lets you randomly make chords, keys, and scales. When you ask yourself, “What should I practice next?” during your practice sessions, it can be helpful.
Exercises Training your ears is an essential step toward becoming a musician! To help you improve your skills, Music Theory Helper includes ear training and music theory exercises:
Reading exercises include note reading (sight-reading), interval reading, chord reading, key signatures, and scale formulas. Mental practice includes chord/scale degrees. The app is free, but some features require an active subscription. Listening exercises include chord recognition, chord inversions, and major chord progressions.
